The god of wealth has been given a spectacular treatment in the Nepalese statue. His face is being painted 22k gold. An important figure in epics, Kubera is the brother of Ravana and has three legs and eight teeth. His body is dwarfish. Kubera is considered the god of wealth and it is believed that worshipping the God gives us wealth and property. He watches over the storehouse of gold, silver, jewels, pearls, and nine nidhis (special treasures). The figure is being nicely treated with some beautiful carvings on it. The refinement of treatment and the detail manner in which it is presented is really amazing.
